PRODUCTS & TIPS

Camembert_edited

I love the cheese selection that Stop and Shop has nowadays, and this one is one of my favorites. They also have a Brie from the S&S brand that is good. Here I am leaving the link to the product.

Cassava Bread

I love cassaba for breakfast! I usually get it at my local supermarket and you can also find it in Hispanic Supermarkets. You can find two different brands in CT and this is one of them. Here I am leaving the link to the one sold at Stop & Shop

Goya Pastry Dough

I was shopping online to find you the discs I used for the empanadas at the best price and found a pastry dough from Goya exclusively for baking at Walmart. You can find the regular dough almost everywhere. The link to the new dough I found is below.

Scratch & Grain Brownie Kit

My friend bought this brownie kit at Target and the product is amazing. She also mentioned that the experience of cooking was great. All the ingredients come individually packed and the box has detailed instructions of what to do. I don't like cream cheese (I know, weirdo) but I loved the brownies because you can't really taste it. I will do some more research on this products because they have muffins and cookie kits as well. The link to the product is here.

Nature's Promise Organic Tahini

Great deal! The difference in price with the popular brand was only 20 cents for the same amount and this tahini is organic. Below is the link to the product

Alvarado St. Bakery Bread

I did my homework, and now I love this bread even more. This company has been in business for over 35 years baking organic breads. Their brand is not the priciest and their products and company values are outstanding. You can find this products at Stop&Shop, ShopRight, Wholefoods and Costco. Below is the link to their website for more info.

Beech-Nut Crispies

I am always looking for healthy snacks that I can carry on Mia's Tote in case of emergency. I went to Stop and Shop the other day and saw this bars and loved them, you know why? They only have 3g of sugar which is amazing. Below is the link and they give you the option to find the product near you!

Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix

I always prefer natural, doing my own version of things, but honestly I am not great with batters / backing / desserts. So this is a good shortcut for me. Just need to add your personal touch. I got it at Wholefoods and I love it! The link is here

Dash Waffle Maker

I got this toy at TJ Maxx at only $ 7.99. I just couldn't hep myself and fell instantly in love. I tried it and it is a great product for what I need. I don't make waffles all that often, so it's perfect for me. I was unable to find the product on the TJ Maxx website, but here I am leaving the link to Amazon, and they have PRIME

Harina Pan

The best cornmeal, proudly made in Venezuela! Nowadays is made in Colombia and Florida, US. You can find it almost everywhere in CT. Here I am leaving the link to the Stop& Shop page but always check availability

#1 Fish Market

Best Fish Market in Hamden for sure! Their address is 2239 State Street, Hamden, CT. The staff is the greatest and you could even call in advance a place the order. My #1 GO-TO for Mia

Target Simply Balanced Black Beans

If I am on a rush and have to buy the beans cooked, I chose this black beans. They are organic and the lowest in sodium I could find.

Stonyfield Yokids Yogurt

This is one of Mia's favorite snacks without a doubt. Organic, non GMO, fortified with vitamin D, and less sugar than other brands. I would prefer a whole milk version, but she doesn't like it.

Pete & Perry's Eggs

Organic, no antibiotics, no hormones, no synthetics pesticides and non GMO feed, but more importantly free range and certified humane. "Range free" mean the animal is outdoors to roam freely.

Nature's Promise Vegetable Stock

Organic, fat free, no preservative or additive and low sodium. Not the cheapest option out there, but this is my local supermarket brand, which I love because of the quality of its products

WHAT IS IT?

I am pretty sure you know, but I don't sponsor content or have connection to any brand. I am just a mom cooking at home for her baby and sharing the results. All this blogging work I am doing is fairly new to me, because I have done in the past, but wearing a different hat. While learning how to be a mommy and food blogger I have found myself many times trying to explain the characteristics of the product I am using on a recipe without referring to a particular brand, but sometimes it limits the content of the article I am posting. I did some research and learned I can share with you the brand of the product I used as long as you all know the information represents "my personal opinion". Additionally to products,  I want to share some hacks and tips I have learned throughout my journey in the kitchen, places I like, stores I recommend to buy certain items, how to work around a budget, how to get the best produce in the store, and more.
