Hummus means "chickpeas with tahini" in Arabic, and it is known as a recipe of the middle eastern cuisine. It is popular in diets as a healthy snack and also very easy to make.

This translates into promoting a good heart health, regulating blood pressure and controlling cholesterol. Additionally, it is packed with essential vitamins and minerals that are said to boost the immune system and to improve the absorption of nutrients from food.
